The remit was to erect a measuring station for evaluating potential locations for offshore wind parks. The demands and quality standards were extremely high. The size of the wind measurement mast mounted on top of the “container” means the latter is subjected to extremely high dynamic loads. The task of selecting materials, quality assurance testing and test scenarios were correspondingly complex.

New build of a container frame
• Complex stress specifications regarding structural strength
• Careful selection of materials to withstand high loads
• Container insulated and painted in accordance with offshore guidelines
• All welds inspected by official test institutes
• Complete set of documents compiled, including all verifiable material quality certificates and certificates of origin
